Photography Committee
The Photography Committee’s objectives are to stimulate interest and to educate all members regardless of expertise and experience in the art and science of photography; to enhance the quality of the photography division in flower shows and to assist in any aspect of staging or entering photography in competition.
Works with Flower Show chairs to organize the photography section -- from writing the schedule, staging the exhibit, organizing passing committee, to storing reusable materials for those shows in which there is a Photography Division.
Represents the Garden Club of Chevy Chase at Zone Photography Meetings and disseminates information from the GCA National Photography Committee to club members.
Further educates club members on photography matters via workshops, special meetings and outings. Works with Program Chairs to select a speaker for a program if appropriate. Arranges for an in-Club photography show if Club interest merits.
