Civics Committee

Committee Responsibilities:

Oversees and carries out the upkeep, care, and beautification of the Betty English Garden (Brookville Road and Oxford Street), named for a talented and active member of the Garden Club.

Oversees and carries out the upkeep, care, and beautification of the Chevy Chase Library front entrance.

Oversees the committees for Village Hall Decorating and for holiday efforts at the National Center for Families and Children.

Carries out other projects agreed upon by the committee and membership.

Keeps photographic records of the Betty English Garden throughout the four seasons.

Develops and maintains a list of plant materials that can be donated from members’ gardens to the Betty English Garden.
